Lyca Productions’ much-anticipated action drama Vettaiyan, starring superstar Rajinikanth, has released its first song, “Manasilayo.” The original version in Tamil celebratory track introduces a poignant innovation: the legendary late singer Malaysia Vasudevan’s voice has been recreated using artificial intelligence, making it a memorable tribute to his legacy.
“Manasilayo,” telugu version song issung by Nakash Aziz, Anirudh Ravichander, Arun Kaundinya and Deepti Suresh, promises to be a stirring number. The song, penned by Srinivasa Mouli, blends the energy of a grand welcome scene for Rajinikanth’s character with a modern musical arrangement, reminiscent of the chartbuster “Chumma Kizhi” from Darbar. It cleverly nods to Rajini’s previous hit Jailer by using a popular line spoken by actor Vinayakan in that film.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan features an all-star cast, including Amitabh Bachchan (in his Tamil debut), Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and VJ Rakshan. Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan reunite for the first time in 33 years, making their on-screen collaboration an event in itself. The film also features supporting performances by Rohini, Abhirami, and Jisshu Sengupta.
Vettaiyan boasts a top-notch technical crew, with Anirudh Ravichander returning for his fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth following Petta (2019), Darbar(2020), and Jailer(2023). Cinematographer SR Kathir and editor Philomin Raj are also key members of the production team.
Currently in post-production, Vettaiyan is set to release in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, on October 10th. With its star-studded cast, emotional resonance, and innovative use of AI, the film is poised to be one of the biggest releases of the year, reinforcing Rajinikanth’s unmatched charisma and Lyca Productions’ reputation for delivering blockbuster entertainment. The film is releasing in Telugu as Vettaiyan-The Hunter.
The Telugu theatrical rights have been acquired by Asian Suresh Entertainments LLP, while Srilakshmi Movies secured the Ceded rights. The film’s audio rights have been bagged by Sony Music. Super Star Rajinikanth’s fans are super thrilled on watching their hero at his energetic best giving mass feast to everyone with his energetic dance moves. Expectations are increasing on the film and fans are waiting eagerly to enjoy the mass feast on the big screen.
