The film was directed by Tamil director Vasanthabalan.Starring Mahesh and Anjali, the songs of this film were released by Chiranjeevi. The movie was released on November 5, 2010, for Diwali. The story revolves around the lives of salesgirls and salesboys working in large stores.
The film is a remake of the Tamil movie Angadi Theru, which was selected for the Indian Panorama. G.V. Prakash Kumar and Vijay Antony composed the music, while the dialogues were written by Shashank Vennelakanti.
