Sridevi Movies, a production house known for its rich taste in classic films and content that’s catered for the entire family has collaborated with director Mohanakrishna Indraganti for the third time after ‘Gentleman’ and ‘Sammohanam’. The film has been titled ‘Sarangapani Jathakam’.
Fronted by the versatile actor Priyadarshi, its Title and First Look poster were unveiled today. It features the excited lead actor looking at his own palm amidst the setup and background that justifies the title. Seems like the content would be around the horoscope, future prediction and some superstitions.
Speaking on the occasion, Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad said, “Is our future predetermined? Or, is it something we can determine for ourselves? ‘Sarangapani Jathakam’ is a perfect blend of comedy and thrill that answers this question. It is a classic Jandhyala-style entertaining movie that will make you laugh from start to finish. Mohanakrishna Indraganti’s narration made me immediately want to produce it, and this is our third film with him under Sridevi Movies. Talented actors like Priyadarshi, Vennela Kishore, Viva Harsha, Naresh VK, Tanikella Bharani, and Srinivas Avasarala are part of this story. Heroine Roopa Koduyur, along with Vadlamani Srinivas, Roopa Lakshmi, and Kalpalatha, also played significant roles. This movie is technically advanced, featuring four songs with excellent tunes provided by Vivek Sagar. Music plays a crucial role in the film. This is the 15th film produced by our banner. After the success of ‘Gentleman,’ ‘Sammohanam,’ and ‘Yashoda,’ we are excited to bring another great movie to the audience. We have completed 90 percent of the shooting, covering four schedules in Hyderabad, Ramoji Film City, and Visakhapatnam. We plan to finish the remaining scenes and two songs by September 5th.”
Director Mohanakrishna Indraganti said, “Faith gives strength to a man. But superstition renders even a wise person weak. ‘Sarangapani Jathakam’ is a story of the average middle-class man that is laced with humour. Was the protagonist perennially torn between his irrational beliefs and his love interest, ending up a failure? Or, did he successfully bail himself out? The plot is told with a heart-pounding sense of humour. While Priyadarshi has masterfully cultivated the emotions and fun in the role of the male lead, Telugu girl Roopa Kaduvayur is endearing with her performance. This movie is a comedic feast that can be watched comfortably with the whole family. Sridevi Movies, which always ensures high technical standards, has not compromised anywhere in the production of this film. PG Vinda’s cinematography, Vivek Sagar’s music, Marthand K Venkatesh’s editing and Raveender’s art direction will impress the audience.”
