Income-Tax Department conducts Outreach Programme

Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Film Nagar, Hyderabad.

The Income-tax Department, under the aegis of Pr.Commissioner of Income-tax-1, Hyderabad, has conducted an outreach programme with members of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce on 22.07.2024.


The programme was chaired by Shri S. Mookambikeyan IRS, Joint Commissioner of Income-tax, Range-6, Hyderabad along with Shri T. Muralidhar IRS, ACIT, Circle 6(1), Hyderabad, Shri K. Srinivasa Rao, ITO, Ward 14(1), Hyderabad and Shri O. Sateesh, Inspector.

Shri Dil Raju, Honorary President, Shri K.L. Damodar Prasad, Honorary Secretary and other members of the Chamber participated in the programme.
During the programme, Shri S. Mookambikeyan, JCIT, explained the members about the various due dates for filing the Income Tax Returns and also discussed the provisions specific to film producers regarding accounting for cost of production and admission of revenues etc., of films produced by them in their Income-tax Returns.

Shri T. Muralidhar, ACIT and Shri K. Srinivasa Rao, ITO have impressed upon the film producers with regard to the requirement of furnishing amended Form No.52A, details to be mentioned therein and the relevant due dates. This was followed by a Question and Answer session.

Shri Dil Raju, Honorary President, Shri K.L. Damodar Prasad, Honorary Secretary and other members discussed various Income-tax issues relating to film production.

Shri Dil Raju in his speech thanked the Income-tax Department for conducting this type of Outreach Programme so that their members can become familiar with the latest provisions of the Income-tax Act and Income-tax Rules.
