Director Osho Tulasiram, who set a trend in Telugu cinema with women-centric movies like Mantra and Mangala, is back with his latest film, Dakshina. Produced by Ashok Shinde under the banner of Cult Concepts, the film stars Sai Dhansika, known for Kabali, in the lead role, with Rishav Basu from Mahabharat Murders in a pivotal role. The pre-release event of Dakshina was held grandly in Hyderabad, with actor Shivaji and music composer R.P. Patnaik gracing the occasion as chief guests, alongside the film’s team.
During the event, actor Shivaji shared his thoughts:
“Osho Tulasiram made waves with the film Mantra, which grossed over 10 crores. It’s a blessing to work with such a talented director. Given a good producer, Osho can create cinematic wonders. I’m confident that Dakshina will be a huge success, and I hope Osho will continue making great films after this.”
R.P. Patnaik expressed:
“The Dakshina trailer looks fantastic. Balaji, the music composer, is exceptionally talented, and I wish him great success. Osho Tulasiram is a visionary director, and I believe this film will achieve great heights, much like Mantra did.”
Director Osho Tulasiram thanked everyone, saying:
“My heartfelt thanks to Shivaji for supporting Dakshina. We have shared many memories during Mantra, and Shivaji is not only a great actor but also a wonderful person. Music director Balaji, writer Veligonda Srinivas, and the entire team have done excellent work on this film. My close friend Ashok, the producer, and I have poured our passion into Dakshina, and I believe audiences will love it. Sai Dhansika has delivered a perfect performance.”
Lead actress Sai Dhansika also spoke at the event:
“Every woman in society should be strong, and that’s the core message of Dakshina. When Osho Tulasiram narrated the story to me, I was shocked and amazed. This film is gripping and has all the elements of a great thriller. I’m grateful to everyone supporting the film, and a special thanks to Shivaji and R.P. Patnaik. Dakshina has all the ingredients of a super thriller.”
