FNCC President K.S. Rama Rao to N.T.R. Honored by the Centenary Committee

The recent event honoring K.S. Rama Rao by the N.T.R. Centenary Committee highlighted the significant contributions of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (N.T.R.) to the Indian film industry and culture. K.S. Rama Rao, the president of the Film Nagar Cultural Center, praised N.T.R. for establishing the center as a prestigious hub in the country.

During the gathering, K.S. Rama Rao recalled a pivotal moment in 1995 when N.T.R., as Chief Minister, played a crucial role in relocating the cultural center from Madras to Hyderabad. He noted that upon request, N.T.R. and Chandra Babu Naidu swiftly facilitated the establishment of the center, emphasizing its importance to the film community.

T.D. Janardhan, chairman of the N.T.R. Centenary Committee, acknowledged K.S. Rama Rao’s impactful presence in Telugu cinema, expressing optimism that under his leadership, the Film Nagar Cultural Center would continue to evolve into a multi-faceted institution.

The event also celebrated K.S. Rama Rao’s journey in the film industry, which began as an assistant director in 1969 with the film “Vichitra Kemiya,” featuring N.T.R. as the hero. The meeting was attended by notable committee members, including Ravi Shankar, Madhusudana Raju, Rambabu Parvathaneni, and Sripati Satish, reinforcing the collective effort to honor N.T.R.’s legacy to N.T.R.
