Hyderabad:
The movie ‘Deccan Sarkar’, directed by Kala Srinivas under the Kala Arts banner, recently had its poster and teaser launch event at the Telugu Film Chamber. Telangana activist Gade Innareddy and Telangana Film Chamber President Pratani Ramakrishna Goud graced the occasion and congratulated the film’s team.
Speaking at the event, Telangana activist Gade Innareddy said, “This movie portrays the struggles of the Telangana movement. Kala Srinivas has dedicated immense effort and resources to make this film. Movies like this, which depict the movement, deserve everyone’s support. I congratulate the entire film team.
Telangana Film Chamber President Pratani Ramakrishna Goud remarked, “Movies like this should be welcomed by all of us. The cast has performed exceptionally well. A single movie can provide livelihood to many families. Therefore, I wish for this film to be a big success. I extend my full support to its release.”
Director Kala Srinivas said, “Telangana’s culture is rich, and its nature is beautiful. There is immense potential for storytelling in Telangana. Many more Telangana-based movies need to come out. In this context, we have brought the Telangana movement to the screen. I have cast individuals with real-life good character into the film’s roles. The concept of this movie revolves around the idea that struggles never take a break. Losing gems like Sai Chandu and Jai Srinu from Telangana is a deep loss. Remembering the movement’s artists and my close associates during this moment fills me with emotion. Soon, we will hold a grand pre-release event for Deccan Sarkar in Nizamabad. I sincerely request everyone to support our movie. I am grateful to the guests, Telangana activists, and media friends who attended the poster and teaser launch event.”
Gharshana Srinivas commented, “Kala Srinivas has put in tremendous effort for this film. The way he has crafted this movie is commendable. We all need to support this movie and turn this small film into a big hit.
Actress Hema said, “Director Kala Srinivas has worked hard to make this movie. Despite facing financial challenges, he has brought a good film to us. We all should support it.”
The attendees praised Kala Srinivas for his ability to depict 12 years of the movement within a two-hour film. They lauded Deccan Sarkar as a movie that unveils the soul of Telangana. They also appreciated his performance in the lead role, along with his work in the story, screenplay, and direction.
